These imply that his voice has gone unearthly, or at least creepy. But that's a nitpick, really. Still, I know others who were disappointed with that aspect of the movie character as well.

It shouldn't be necessary, but it would've sounded better if he were voiced differently, no offense to the actor who played and voiced him. I like Topher Grace.

And no, I've no problems with forgiveness in action films at all, especially when they're done right. In my opinion, the second Spider-Man movie left on such a high note that it must have been a challenge for the screenwriters to recapture some of the angst for this third installment. So the drama here, for me, felt kind of forced. You'd at least expect Peter Parker to have Sandman arrested (or convince him to surrender) for his subsequent crimes as a supervillain. He hurt and probably killed a lot of people during his rampage. But he let him go, which is strange, and contradictory to his great power, great responsibility creed. Forgiveness is one thing, but that's just abetting in the escape of a dangerous fugitive.

Thanks Juanita. :)OLIVERhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07590623244350579708noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-9888844.post-28534167177671341932007-05-09T15:46:00.000-07:002007-05-09T15:46:00.000-07:00Also, the forgiveness theme gets uber-killed, as S...Also, the forgiveness theme gets uber-killed, as Sandman and Peter Parker’s separate dramas get unduly over-complicated and overly sentimental. Everybody hurts, yeah, but you just don’t feel that done properly here. How sad. And also, I was hoping that Venom would have a cooler, monstrously augmented voice. But he still sounds like Eric Foreman from That ‘70s Show.

What are you talking about? Why on earth would Venom have a different voice? Why would it be necessary?

And do you have something against forgiveness in action films?Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
