have you read the wheel of time series. its been around a while so i dont know if the book stores still has any. i lost track of it over time because the story took too long to finish. (7 books total) if ever i decide to pick it up again i would have to start from the first book (yet again).
your rendition seems appropriate to the magic in that world where it is a tapestry of "threads" where mostly women and some men are able to manipulate (like the force is to jedis).
